Application: DivX, MP3 Encoding and CineBench 2003
XMPEG 5.03 and DivX 5.1.1
On these application tests we again see that both of the 3200+ processors are pretty much on par with each other — no need to upgrade from Newcastle to Venice at default speeds, that’s for sure.
But again the performance gains at 2.8 GHz are awesome: 35% in DivX encoding, 38% in MP3 encoding time, 38% in the render test on CineBench 2003 and about 25-30% in the OpenGL tests.
