Conclusions
Koolance has taken a great product and made it even better! The new Exos-2 Liquid Cooling System delivers increased performance, advanced features, and modern styling in a self-contained, easy to install, external enclosure. Using the Koolance CPU-300-V10 and GPU-180-L06 waterblocks with the Exos-2 produced better operating temperatures than even the best CPU and video card air coolers on the market.
The Exos-2 surpasses the original Exos in performance thanks to a larger radiator, greater airflow and increased coolant flow. The dual 120mm fans produce a wide range of capabilities, which allows the Exos-2 to provide optimal cooling (with noticeable fan noise), or virtually silent operation with the fans turned down low. The clear plastic reservoir, which is mounted right up front for easy access, includes blue LED lighting that is both functional and adds to the overall custom look of the system.
Strengths:
- Self-contained, easy to install, external liquid cooling system
- Up to 700 watts cooling capability
- Automatic or manual fan speed control — can be very quiet
- LED display panel with programmable safety alarm and automatic shutdown
- Clear reservoir with blue LED lighting and top fill port
- Professional styling and aluminum chassis
Weaknesses
- Expensive
- Waterblock coolers must be purchased separately
Outstanding style, function and performance come at a price however. In the case of the Exos-2, that translates to a MSRP of $349.99 USD, which does not include any waterblock coolers. The Exos-2 is available in silver or black from your favorite Koolance reseller. Be sure to use our price-checking engine to find the best prices on the Exos-2, and anything else you may want to buy!
I would like to thank Koolance for sending us the Exos-2, CPU-300-V10, and GPU-180-L06 coolers to review — thanks!
