Conclusions
The Asetek VapoChill Micro Ultra Low Noise heatsink fan offers a good combination of CPU cooling with minimal noise. Even with the fan turned up on High speed, the cooler was relatively quiet and when the speed was turned down low it was virtually silent.
Remember, this is the Ultra Low Noise version. If you are looking for even better performance and can tolerate a bit more noise, then the VapoChill Micro High End or Extreme Performance coolers might be a better choice.
Strengths:
- Very quiet
- Good performance with minimal noise
- Fan speed controller included
- Secondary airflow helps cool motherboard components
- Light weight
Weaknesses:
- No universal mount — socket specific
The VapoChill Micro series of CPU coolers are currently shipping and should be available from your favorite Asetek reseller for $52.99 to $59.99 USD. I would like to thank Astek for sending us the VapoChill Micro to review.
