Half-Life 2 – Canals
Our second HL2 run through takes place in the Canals portion of the game where there are a lot of water reflections to deal with. Here’s a typical scene from our run through:
With the Canals level on HL2 we see a gain in performance even before the AA and AF are turned on. The XFX OC card shows a higher minimum frame rate by 9 FPS and higher average by more than 10 FPS, a very good increase. The performance deltas remain similar as we move to the 4xAA and 8xAF modes.
