One of the most impressive games of E3 2005 is turning out to be one of the most graphically intense as well. Even with the 7800 GTX and X1800 XT I didn’t find the game playable at 1600×1200 with all the details turned on:
The single player demo’s opening map served as our testing point.
One note: NVIDIA is saying that the performance of their parts on the demo is going to differ greatly from their performance on the final version of the game. We’ll keep you updated when the game is available!
We have very odd results in the 0x0x testing — initial info from NVIDIA states that this is probably because there is no profile for FEAR in 77.77 then a detrimental SLI mode is being chosen. With AA and AF though things are much different, with the two SLI setups showing strong performance leads over the single 7800 GTX.
