General Performance
PC Mark 04 is a benchmark that determines a system’s prowess at general every day tasks like web browsing, archiving, and media encoding. The EP-8NPA SLI performs similarly to the other Socket 754 motherboards though it is the slowest of the bunch. This follows the CPU and memory results we saw previously in SiSoft Sandra and Everest.
In converting 12 minutes of DVD to a DiVX file the EPoX EP-8NPA SLI isn’t the slowest, but it nearly is. The VIA K8T800 Pro is nearly a full minute faster which means it will finish a typical 2 hour DVD 10 minutes faster than the EP-8NPA.
