Here we see that the additional cache on the 4800+ processor gives it a performance boost over the 3800+ OC in our DivX encoding test but even at stock speeds, the 3800+ greatly out paces the single core 4000+. The 3800+ OC takes the lead in the MP3 encoding performance from the 4800+ by frequency alone since our LAME test is single threaded.
