Half-Life 2 – Canals09
Our second HL2 run through takes place in the Canals portion of the game where there are a lot of water reflections to deal with. Here’s a typical scene from our run through:
This level of HL2 is much more shader intensive as the water scenes take up a lot of GPU processing time. ATI’s X1800 XT GPU has an advantage here right off the bat in both with and without AA/AF enabled. The Asus card improves on the reference cards performance by 7.5% at its best.
