The new Futuremark 3DMark06 benchmark was released just last week and has already become a popular test for GPU benchmarks and CPUs as well.  You can see my full overview of the new benchmark, what it has to offer over the 2005 version and some other initial scores from my previous article

XFX GeForce 7800 GS XT Edition - An AGP Upgrade - Graphics Cards 80

Unlike the 2005 test, the 2006 test has HDR tests that the X850 XT can’t run, so its score is abnormally low here.

3DMark06 still shows the 7800 GS with a pixel shading advantage but the complex vertex shading test goes to the ATI X850 XT PE again.  Also, as in the previous tests, the fill rate of the 7800 GS is more limited than the X850 XT PE.
