General System Performance

Lacking a better placement for benchmark results like this, we’ll first look at how the two motherboards compared in overall system performance in both PCMark05 and World Bench 5. 

PCMark05

PCMark, from the makers of the 3DMark series, tests various aspects of the system and reports the results back in a normalized score.

World Bench 5

World Bench runs the system through a series of real world benchmarking scenarios from video editing to multitasking.  We’ll be looking at the individual scores on the coming pages.

PCMark05 sees the NVIDIA based board just slightly faster in all the results save for the hard drive testing.  World Bench 5 also gives NVIDIA a very slight edge.
