“Simply put, the ultramobile PC (UMPC) is a tablet computer which will run a modified version of Windows XP Tablet edition and is powered by an Intel processor. The UMBC is smaller than current tablets, mainly due to the use of a 7″ display, and is expected to reach production at a weight under two pounds. With Intel and Microsoft jointly manning the helm, a few partner computers have gotten involved to brand the product and sell it.
