ScienceMark 2.0 Memory
The ScienceMark 2.0 suite has its own memory benchmark that reports back cache memory speeds and system memory speeds. We are only going to look at system memory here.
Everest Ultimate Edition 2006
Everest, formerly known to the world as AIDA32, has gone commercial and taken their memory benchmark with them. There tests are similar to SiSoft’s and ScienceMark’s in that they stress the system via synthetic means to find the highest possible speeds. Here we have done both Read and Write speed tests as well as the copy memory test.
Interesting results can be found here by comparing the memory performance of the AM2 X2 4800+ and the S939 X2 4800+. The AM2 version comes out way ahead in our memory tests over both the S939 configuration and the Intel 965 processor system as well.
