3DMark06
The new Futuremark 3DMark06 benchmark was released just a few months ago and has already become a popular test for GPU benchmarks and CPUs as well. You can see my full overview of the new benchmark, what it has to offer over the 2005 version and some other initial scores from my previous article.
The default 3DMark06 run shows the 7950 GX2 and the pair of 7900 GT OCs in a dead heat in terms of raw performance. Our individual feature tests don’t show a lot of benefit from the 7950 GX2 as it falls just behind 7900 GT OC SLI configuration in the pixel shader test, vertex shader test and one of the two Shader Model 3.0 tests.
