Epox

Epox had a surprisingly busy booth for a company I thought was going to be long gone by this time.  They are still around and pumping out product like all the other vendors.

The Epox MF590 SLI2 board uses the NVIDIA 590 SLI chipset on the AM2 platform.  It includes two IDE channels, one of them powered by a JMicron 363 chip and dual Gigabit LAN connections with a single Marvell PHY.

The MD580 XR motherboard looks much more like an enthusiast platform here with its unique chipset cooling.  It uses the ATI XPress 3200 chipset for X16 CrossFire support on the AM2 processor platform.

This board is the Epox 5P965-J based on Intel’s latest core logic offering.  It will use the P965 and ICH8 combo and will be a budget option for when the Core 2 processor hits the streets.

This last board was pretty unique; the Epox MCP61S-M motherboard uses the new, and still unannounced, NVIDIA MCP61S chipset with a new integrated graphics core for the AM2 platform.
