Stock Performance – SiSoft Sandra, Super Pi
Like Everest on the previous page, SiSoft Sandra performs a memory bandwidth test to determine its speed.
Note: Gigabyte @ 667 MHz memory bus.
Asus P5WD2 with XMS2 5400UL @ 667 MHz memory bus.
The results here show a distinct improvement with better timings unlike the Everest tests on the previous page. The Gigabyte comes out on top slightly once again due to the Intel 975X chipset.
Now to put it all together, we run Super Pi to see how memory timings and memory bus help improve performance.
Note: Gigabyte @ 667 MHz memory bus.
Asus P5WD2 with XMS2 5400UL @ 667 MHz memory bus.
Now this is very interesting! While the Gigabyte GA-G1975X has beaten the Asus in both Everest and Sandra, here in Super Pi the Asus comes out on top regardless of which RAM is used.
