[H]ard|OCP revisited eMachines website, this time to order the new T6528.  For an extra $50, they’ve moved from a Sempron to a full fledged A64 3500+.  Check out the full review, which even covers trouble they had with a hard drive.

As well, Ryan has updated the Hardware Leaderboard, to include the new AM-2 chips, as well as the nVidia 7950GX2
.
“The T6528 is the next level up from the T3418, which we evaluated earlier. The main difference between the two is that the T6528 uses an Athlon 64 processor while the T3418 uses a Sempron. While both CPUs are 64 bit capable, the Athlon 64 has more L2 cache, and can utilize dual-channel memory. There’s only a difference of $50 dollars between the two systems. The benefit of the Athlon 64 in a Socket 939 package is that you have more options for upgrading down the road, including the dual-core Athlon 64 X2 series.”
