Corsair Memory was at Computex this year showing off some new product designs in the works.  First up is a new heatsink and fan cooling system for high-end memory.

The system was an Asus M2N32-SLI board with an FX-62 processor from AMD’s new AM2 platform.  Most impressively, the DDR2 memory was running at PC10k speeds; thats 1252 MHz!

The Sandra scores are about 11,700 here, and you can see the memory is running at 626 MHz DDR2 with 5-5-5-18 memory timings.

The fan on the cooling pushes air quietly over some new heatsinks that are physically attached to both the PCB and the memory chips, making it more than a simple heatspreader like we see on current DDR and DDR2 memory modules.

We’ll have more once the design is ready, and it should be rather soon!
