By combining their resources, it opens things up for AMD and ATI to really take on Intel and nVidia in a big way and increase their market share in a range of different product segments.”

Tweaknews has been keeping an ear to the ground at Computex, and they seem to feel that Intel believes the ATI – AMD merger is likely. No word on Intel taking nVIDIA out on a date though, everyone know nVIDIA’s chipsets like hanging out with Opterons.
