Network Interface Tests
Our network tests use the ntttcp application distributed by Microsoft for testing network controller’s efficiency. The program creates a number of threads from a server machine to spit data at the test machine at up to Gigabit speeds. Both maximum throughput and CPU utilization are tested.

The Asus P5W DH Deluxe is able to get near 1.0 Gbit networking speeds while maintaining just over 17% CPU utilization, beating out the Intel motherboard by just a couple of percentage points. It is nice to see Gigabit Ethernet becoming standardized and performances all reaching near theoretical maximums.
