We ran the standard SiSoft Sandra synthetic memory test.
ScienceMark 2.0 Memory
The ScienceMark 2.0 suite has its own memory benchmark that reports back cache memory speeds and system memory speeds. We are only going to look at system memory here.
The AMD processors still appear to have an advantage in memory performance, as we would expect. The integrated memory controller on the K8 core is still doing wonders for the AMD platform’s ability to counter memory latency issues.
