If you find yourself looking for something more than just work or school, but aren’t really into the bridge-building or ditch digging that the Peacecorps tends to focus on, then consider the Geekcorps.  Read all about this group of internationally travelling geeky philanthropists at VIA Arena
“Geekcorps is a division of the International Executive Services Corps (IESC). IESC was founded by the famed American banker David Rockefeller in the first half of that quintessential decade of idealism and change, the 1960s. Rockefeller’s idea “…that private companies in the industrialized nations volunteer to send members of their management to work in developing areas” was launched in the Rose Garden at the White House by President Johnson. Since then, IESC has been involved in over 25 000 consultancies in over 130 countries.”
