Conclusions
If you are in the market for a power supply in the 500~750 watt range, one of the new XClio GreatPower units deserve a close look. The 750W model exhibited very good voltage regulation and stability and was quiet, especially while operating under moderate loads. The overall efficiency is good and Active PFC and modular, sleeved cables are added pluses.
Strengths:
- Solid, stable voltages
- Quiet during normal operation (<400 watt output)
- Modular peripheral cables
- Supports S-ATA and PCI-E
- Good efficiency along with Active PFC
Weaknesses:
- Longer chassis (155mm) may not fit inside some PC enclosures
