Memory Tests
Using Lavalys Everest and SiSoft Sandra again, we test the memory performance of the system. The Core 2 Duo has improved memory management and a larger lvevl 2 cache compared to the Core Duo, so it’d be interesting to see how this affects the results.
It appears that the memory performance of the mobile Core 2 Duo has improved somewhat since we last examined it. In ScienceMark we see a remarkable jump in performance, whereas in Everest it appears to have some issues with the new Core 2 Duo CPU.
