Aurora 7500 Specifications and Pricing

Aurora 7500 Options

Buying a system from the Alienware system is fairly pain free, as long as you have a general understanding of what kind of system you want.  Going from the main page to the Aurora section (the model that we were sent) brings us to this four-option screen where the user is instructed to pick their future gaming machine.

Alienware Aurora 7500 System Review: FX-62 and 7950 GX2 - Systems 80

There are four different Aurora models shown here: the 7500, Star Wars Edition, 5500 and 3500, each with their own collection of options and features.  The lowest priced systems are based on the Athlon 64 processor, with the Aurora 7500 focusing on the FX-series of processors, thus bringing higher performance and prices to the system.  The three systems on the right in the above image shows the classic Alienware case that has existed for YEARS and is actually the case for the system that we reviewed.  On the far left is the new Aurora case, featured in the image below.

So, keep in mind, through out this review, that if you purchase a new Aurora 7500 system, yours will be shipped in THIS case (seen above).

Our Review Model Specifications

The Aurora 7500 system that we recieved was custom built for us for the review process, but I configured one on their site just a few days ago to get current pricing information.  The summary of that build is here:

Alienware Aurora 7500 System Review: FX-62 and 7950 GX2 - Systems 82

The total price on our review system: $4,101; not bad considering the original price sheet on the system that was sent with the computer was over $7k a couple of months ago!
