Lacking a better placement for benchmark results like this, we’ll first look at how the motherboards compare in overall system performance in both PCMark05 and World Bench 5.
PCMark05
PCMark, from the makers of the 3DMark series, PCMark05 tests various aspects of the system and reports the results back in a normalized score.
World Bench 5
World Bench runs the system through a series of real world benchmarking scenarios from video editing to multitasking. We’ll be looking at the individual scores on the coming pages.
Again the ECS motherboard is the slower of the two XPress 3200 retail motherboards; the MSI K9A is more competitive with the NF590 chipset.
