MSI K9A Platinum BIOS Features

The BIOS on the K9A Platinum is a little more polished than we saw on the ECS KA3 MVP earlier in this article.

These two BIOS screens show the various memory timing settings that the MSI K9A BIOS offers.  You can see that all of the major memory timings are represented here, including CAS latency and 1T/2T command rates.

The monitoring options on the K9A are mediocre at best, with basic voltage and fan speed settings.

The overclocking options on the MSI K9A start here with CPU frequency adjustments from 200 to 400 MHz and the multiplier adjustments are shown here as well.

The other frequency options include setting the memory ratio and the PCI Express bus too.

There are a lot of voltage options here as well: CPU voltages from 1.20v to 1.45v with the option to increase that by 23.3% using these settings, memory voltages from 1.8v to 2.3v, chipset voltages from 1.2v to 1.5v and HyperTransport bus voltages from 1.2v to 1.5v as well.
