3DMark ’05 and ’06
3DMark is a useful tool in giving a normalized result that could be used to compare different GPUs to each other. Since many of you are familiar with desktop graphics cards, the numbers here will help give you a relative position in terms of performance for these mobile parts.

This is an older benchmark, so don’t put too much weight on it anyway. 🙂
Now these are numbers most of you can relate to. In 3DMark 06, we can see the Go 7900 GS trailing the Go 7900 GTX by roughly 1200 points overall. Going by these results in 3DMark 06 alone, the GeForce Go 7900 GTX has a similar score as the GeForce 7900 GT, and the GeForce Go 7900 GS score is close to the GeForce 7800 GT.
