Prey
Now let’s take a look at one of the most graphically intensive games to be released this past year: Prey. Since this is a new game we’re testing out for laptops, we don’t have any other numbers to give you at the moment. So we’ll just let these numbers speak for themselves.
Settings: High level shaders, 2x Anisotropic filtering, 2xAntialising.
At high resolution, we see a convincing argument for the SLI option on the m9700. While the single GPU falls below the 30 FPS mark (with minimum frame rates well below that), the the Go 7900 GS’ in linked mode pumps out a very respectable 53 FPS!
At lower resolutions, the game plays very smoothly in both single and multi-GPU configurations.
