General System Performance
Lacking a better placement for benchmark results like this, we’ll first look at how the motherboards compare in overall system performance in both PCMark05 and World Bench 5.
PCMark05
PCMark, from the makers of the 3DMark series, tests various aspects of the system and reports the results back in a normalized score.
World Bench 5
World Bench runs the system through a series of real world benchmarking scenarios from video editing to multitasking. We’ll be looking at the individual scores on the coming pages.
The memory scores on the PCMark05 test are a bit lower on the Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard, though the other scores are just fine and in line with the other two motherboards. The Intel 975XBX motherboard scored a 161 and the P5B Deluxe has a small performance deficit.
