System Performance
“System Performance” is a pretty broad heading, but in our case this means a series of tests that measure the performance of various parts of the system in unison. To test how the Asus W2J works as a whole system, we use PCMark 05 and World Bench to evaluate its effectiveness.
Not surprisingly, the Dell XPS M1710 pulls way ahead in this benchmark thanks to its powerful NVIDIA Go 7900 GS mobile GPU. The CPU and memory performance on the W2J put it in second place in PCMark 05.
The overall World Bench scores aren’t too surprising either. In terms of hardware configuration, the W2J is slightly faster than the W7J because of the step up in CPU and the Dell XPS M1710 pulls ahead thanks to 2GB of RAM and a faster CPU.
