“For the design to stand out from existing cases it couldn’t be square and conventional. so I started out with a quarter moon shaped design with a staggered top lined with fans, in theory this improved cooling as heat rises and that’s where the majority of the fans would be. Going against the grain
Bjorn3D offers some advice on building a truely unique case, without having to get a CNC machine. They start out with several designs of wooden cases, but as the build progresses they find some of their ideas don’t work out the way they wanted. In the end though, a great looking wooden case is made, and advice on how to start your own is plentiful.
