Conclusions

The Freezone CPU Cooler from CoolIt Systems combines the features of an easy to install water-cooling system with multiple Peltier devices to provide sub ambient cooling without the worry of possible condensation forming on your components.  The build quality appears to be excellent.  The Freezone produced very good results — especially at higher ambient temperatures.  And the controller can be adjusted to select the right balance between cooling performance and noise.

My one disappointment is that CoolIt Systems did not mount the Thermal Control Module in a 3.5′ or 5.25′ bay module and include a digital display for the water temperature.  This is pretty standard among other high-end water-cooling and TEC based coolers and hopefully will be included in a future revision.

If you have deep pockets and need or want a TEC based water-chiller that can provide sub-ambient cooling then the Freezone CPU Cooler deserves a very close look.  The Freezone offers excellent potential for overclockers who don’t mind a little fan noise and if you don’t have the luxury of air-conditioning in a hot climate, the Freezone can handle extremely warm environments much better than a traditional HSF or water-cooling system can.
