BIOS Features (cont’d)
Moving on to the memory settings we find the settings that can be controlled in the manual mode. Refresh cycle time is the new configurable memory setting available with the 1.5 BIOS.
The CPU features page contains the Intel throttling options for the CPU. If you are using a new Core 2 Duo, your thermals shouldn’t be a concern if you using an adequate CPU cooler. It’s possible to disable the throttling functions, if you’re well cooled, to prevent your CPU from down clocking during your nice overclocks.
Here is where you can enable and disable all the on-board features included on the Abit AB9 Pro. If you’re not using all the available on board controllers, you can shave some seconds of your boot time by disabling unused controllers on this screen.
