The case is very light weight thanks to mostly-all aluminum construction and right out of the box it looks great.  No fancy curves or sculptured bezel on this case; the CW01 chassis features clean, simple styling with straight lines.  In addition to the case the box also includes the following accessories.

The Multilanguage manual that ships with the case is rather brief but a more detailed Installation Guide and I/O cable Pin Assignment sheet are available on SilverStone’s website for download.

The brushed aluminum front panel is a solid aluminum extrusion and is either clear or black anodized depending on what finish you select.  The sides and top cover are painted to match.  The gold-colored lettering and gold-plated I/O connectors add an elegant look to this case, which will help it blend in with other high-end gear in your AV rack.

Below the large, square Power-On button are the exposed I/O connectors.  All of the connectors are gold-plated, including the two ¼’ audio jacks.  They are arranged in a single row and include the following:

·         Phones — audio out

·         Mic — audio in

·         (2) USB 2.0

·         1394 — Firewire

·         Power-On indicator

·         HDD activity indicator

·         Reset switch (recessed)

On the right side of the front panel are three exposed drive bays.  The two 5.25′ bays incorporate hinged doors that are pushed open by the force of the drive tray extending and close again with light spring pressure.

A single 3.5′ bay is located below the two optical drive bays and comes with a multimedia card reader installed.  The card reader is a nice feature and supports all the various types of media.  A small door covers the 3.5′ bay as well to maintain a clean uniform look.
