Exterior Details (Cont’d)

A quick look at the bottom of the SilverStone CW01 chassis reveals four audio style feet and three vent openings; two located below the HDD rack and one in front of the PSU area.

The two sides are mirror images of each other and include large vents at the rear, which are protected by nice, open-area stamped grills.  One side lets air in to cool the CPU area and the other side lets air in to cool the power supply (if the power supply has a bottom mounted intake fan and is positioned in that direction).

Moving around to the rear of the CW01 enclosure reveals a reversed ATX layout that has the power supply located on the right side (instead of the more traditional left side).  The CW01 accepts a standard, full size ATX power supply of your choice.

The two 80mm SilverStone labeled fans (Silentmatic SFA8025MS-12N) are medium speed models rated for 2,050 rpm at 12V and incorporate sleeve bearings. They are relatively quiet even at full speed and are capable of running at reduced voltage, all the way down to 5V.  Each fan is fitted with a non-restricting wire guard for optimal airflow with minimal turbulence noise.
