Turning our attention to 3D modeling applications, we use CineBench and Spec ViewPerf to determine how the Asus G2 would perform in these situations. With processors and GPUs becoming increasingly powerful, moving 3D design and modeling to a notebook is become more commonplace.

In some cases, the extra RAM and Hyper Memory on the X1700 gives the Asus G2 an edge. However, the CPU appears to hold it back since it isn’t quite able to keep pace with the T7600 in the Asus Z96J.
