The Asus G2 beats the Asus Z96J in areas we’d expect thanks to the faster GPU and more video memory.

Now let’s take a look at some real gaming situations in FEAR. Using the Performance Test in the game, we can get a quick normalized results which we can compare to other graphics systems.

In FEAR, we can see that the X1700 512MB isn’t quite up to the task at running FEAR with all the details enabled. 29 FPS average and a sad 11 FPS isn’t enough for a smooth gaming experience. The Dell M1710 really shines with the 7900 GS.
