Upgrade pains
Flipping over the Asus G2 reveals three main covers for all your upgrading needs. under the main cover, you will find the CPU, a SODIMM slot, and the Radeon Mobility X1700 GPU.
You will notice that there is only a single RAM slot here, so where’s the second one? The second slot is actually located under the keyboard and requires the user to take apart the LCD screen, remove the keyboard, and then unscrew components on the inside… basically it’s not easily done. (To upgrade the RAM, follow the same instructions for the Asus A7J).
Like the Asus A7J, upgrading the RAM on the Asus G2 is a challenge.

The Asus G2 is an upgraded Asus A7J which we reviewed almost a year ago.
