Sony has never been considered the makers of the best laptops around, but their VAIO series is the most portable laptop, without crossing the line into a UMPC.  This incarnation, the Sony VAIO TZ weighs in at 2.62lbs, and comes with a 1.06GHz C2D, Windows Vista Professional, 1GB of DDR2, an 80GB ATA HDD, a multipurpose DVD RW/R and integrated Intel graphics.  The display is 11.1″ with a resolution of 1,366×768, which should be enough to let you see without a magnifying glass.  As CoolTechZone points out, one of the most important stats is missing, it’s battery life.
“Sony, although shaky in its quality sometimes, is possibly the only company that offers cutting-edge ultra portable notebooks to its users. It’s usually the only company to have the latest technologies packed in some of the world’s thinnest designs ready to go. This time again Sony’s VAIO series expects to add a latest ultra portable notebook, the VAIO TZ, to its product line with Intel’s Core 2 Duo microprocessor, Windows Vista and a plethora of other options that should satisfy the road warrior in you.”
