We ran the standard SiSoft Sandra synthetic memory test.
Ah, two completely different ends of the spectrum are seen here in our Sandra testing. First, on the CPU test front, the 8 cores on the “V8” are doing spectacular and out run the quad-core QX6700 by 127% thanks to the increased frequency as well. The memory test, however, shows the downside of the platform using FB-DIMMs at 667 MHz: the slowest synthetic memory results of the four tested systems.
