CPU Performance

We will measure the performance of the CPU using SiSoft Sandra 2007, Everest Ultimate Edition 2006, and Cinebench v9.5’s CPU rendering test. These are low-level tests which do not replicate real-world results, but offer a good standard measurement to compare CPU performance across platforms.

Keep in mind that these tests are not a measurement of total system performance, rather provides a very close look at the processor the vendor has chosen to include in this particular review sample sent to PC Perspective.

Not surprisingly, the T7600G CPU in the XPS M1710 gives scores ahead of all systems we’re testing. It will be interesting to see how overclocking the T7600G CPU later in this review will affect performance.
