The Core 2 Extreme Quad core QX6850 makes it’s debut today, and you can get a good impression as to what this ~$1000 processor can do at HotHardware.  We know the technical specs, 133MHz FSB, 3GHz on 65nm construction, 130W TDP, and a pair of 4MB L2 caches.  What you won’t know until you read the review is how much better it is than the pair of 6800 Extremes already on the market.

Don’t forget to check out Ryan’s review as well, it’s right at the top of our main page.
“So the answer to our initial question is fairly straight-forward and Intel is answering that definitively today with the launch of the new Core 2 Extreme QX6850 quad-core processor. What goes faster than a Core 2 Quad QX6800? Like a Ferrari or Lamborghini it’s going to cost you a few Lira but read on paisano and we’ll wind her out and see how she handles.”
