“Designed new from the ground up, this single-slot cooler aims to strike a nice balance between superior cooling and acceptable noise levels. Nvidia’s mid-range reference coolers have generally been pretty marginal, so there’s certainly room for improvement. But other manufacturers have their own cooling solutions, too, and ThermoIntelligence already has plenty of competition. Read on to see how the GeForce 8600 GTS OC2 fares against that competition and whether ThermoIntelligence is a smart choice for your next mid-range graphics card.”Here are some more Graphics Card articles from around the web:

New cooling, new clock speed, new price
The Tech Report has posted a full review of the card we covered in the 8th PC Perspective Podcast, the BFG 8600 GTS OC2 with ThermoIntelligence. Faster than a speeding 8800, and putting out less than 40dB when idling, even when overclocked to 796 and 1171, this card really has a lot to offer, unless you are planning on using monitor that is 30″ or better, in which case the 256MB of RAM may hold you back. Watch this card show off it’s stuff.
