Hard Drive and USB performance
Hard Drive and USB performance
In these tests we measure access, read and burst speed of the hard drive and the USB on these two computers.

The faster spinning drives on the Dell M1710 are obviously giving it an unfair advantage here, as the access times and throughput rates on the hard drive tests are heavily weighted in Dell’s favor. We would expect performance similar to this from the Dell, a system that does cost considerably more than the Toshiba and is marketed to a different consumer.
