WorldBench 5
What is WorldBench? WorldBench is an applications-based benchmark that automatically installs a series of programs on your computer and then runs various tests to see how those apps perform on your system. The individual times for each test are used to create a composite score that indicates your system’s overall performance relative to other systems that have also run WorldBench.
I included quite a few different applications here from the WorldBench suite to give you a good overall view of how the drives performed. The tests chosen are heavy users of large media files — just the type of activity where have a faster hard drive would matter. You can see the new Caviar SE16 750GB drive does very well and is able to outperform the original SE 400GB drive in all cases and even bests the Raptor X drive in a few as well.
