Here you can see the options for turning on and off the various settings for the CPU including SpeedStep and the halt states. For overclocking purposes, we almost always disable these options.

The voltage page of the BIOS is also nice again with its dual column design that shows current settings next to what you are attempting to set it at.

The CPU can be pushed all the way up to 1.8v though this would require some well above average cooling.





The screens above all show the maximum values for various voltage controls in the XFX BIOS. The memory voltage is particularly impressive with its 2.5v maximum.

The built-in memory test on the NVIDIA 680i SLI BIOS allows you to test your overclocked settings without having to boot into Windows or setup a floppy disc with memtest on it.

NVIDIA has also provided three profile spots for you to save and load your BIOS settings in — so you could save a setup with a particular overclocking result and then attempt to go higher but revert back if you get into trouble.

The hardware monitoring page shows various fan speeds, real-time voltages, and temperatures.

Finally, in the dynamic fan control menu you can set at what temperatures you want fans enabled at, etc.
