BIOS Features (continued)
Here is an example of what you would see if you set a voltage to a level that the BIOS deemed was dangerous.
Simply put, the amount and range of voltage options on the Blitz Formula motherboard are damn impressive.
The voltminder LEDs are lights that Asus has on the motherboard itself that will turn green, yellow or red depending on the level of voltage overclocking you have on certain components of the system. These LEDs are located and monitor the CPU, memory and PCI Express slots to give you a visual indication of your voltage levels.
The hardware monitoring page of the BIOS shows us some temperature and voltages while allowing us to set limits to the temperatures on the north and south bridge chips.
CPU Q-Fan control is available as well to four fan locations.
Finally the EZ-Flash and OC Profile tools in the BIOS are very nice additions. EZ-Flash allows you to flash your BIOS with a USB key for floppy disc that isn’t a boot disc while the profiles section allows you to save BIOS configurations and switch quickly between them.
