Quick Performance Tests
Since we have tested several P35 motherboards in the recent weeks, I am not going to bore you with page and pages of benchmarks that simply say “yeah these perform about the same”; instead I’ll just bore with this quick set of benchmarks that say “yeah these perform about the same”.
Our test system included an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 processor and 2GB of DDR2-800 memory running at 4-4-4-14 timings on Windows Vista Ultimate x64.
There you have it — compared to the performance we saw on the Gigabyte P35-DQ6 motherboard, the Asus Blitz Formula is about on par. That’s about all you can ask in today’s world of chipset design as there isn’t a lot of room for vendors to make tweaks while running at stock speeds.
