A Detailed Look
The Quattro 1kW power supply enclosure is painted black with white racing stripes (yellow stripes on the Quattro 850W). The enclosure is 180mm (7.1”) deep and uses a single 80mm exhaust fan on the backside for cooling.
The fan speed is automatically controlled by the internal component temperature (speeds up as the combined load and temperature increases). The dual ball bearing Adda fan (AD0812UB-A70GL) is rated for up to 43.8 CFM at 3,400 rpm at 12V.
The open grill on the front and slot openings on the side and top allows air to be drawn into the power supply for cooling.
The TruePower Quattro 1,000W power supply has a full assortment of cables and connectors, which are both hard-wired and modular. The cables are covered with braided plastic mesh sleeving all the way to the end connectors and measure approximately 22” long. The five modular cable sockets are color coded and all of the modular cable connectors are clearly marked for easy connection.
