The V-CTF map is even more “open” than the Shangri La though it has less detail in the terms of tress, etc.  All three of these cards have no problems producing great results at 1600×1200 though the 8800 GTS 640MB card is at the back of pack.

Finally we are pushing on these cards!  The 8800 GTX is doing very well again with a 9% lead over the AMD HD 2900 XT in average frame rate as well as a slightly better minimum frame rate.  The NV 8800 GTS 640MB card gets stuck near the 40 FPS mark, a full 21% slower than the HD 2900 XT.

At 2560×1600 all three cards take a pretty big hit here in overall performance; the 8800 GTX has its slowest result here as we’d expect.  The game is still very smooth though on the GTX.  Playing it with the 8800 GTS 640MB and HD 2900 XT is more of a stretch and I imagine that some gamers would prefer to move down to 1920×1200 in order to see the frame rates closer to the 60 number.  One thing the move to 2560×1600 did was lessen the gap between the GTS 640MB and the 2900 XT; it’s only 13% or so here.
